PHILIPPINE LIGHT RAILWAY TRANSIT (PLC) CORP. was established in the year 2010 and the first registered railway corporation in Mindanao with the primary purpose of designing, constructing and operating a light railway transit system. PLC’s other corporate primary purpose is to supply and install system and maintenance equipment, import cabs and rolling stocks as well as to enter into a contract may it be private or government projects or enter into a joint venture/consortium agreement. PLC was once a swiss challenger together with its partner Izumo Construction in the unsolicited proposal of The MRT -7 Project with Universal Light Rail Transit Corporation (ULC) as the proponent. At present, PLC is working on a concept paper and feasibility study of having a mono rail or mass rail transit system in the city of Davao
